A critical spirit, comparison, and ingratitude usually accompany pride, and pride always comes before a fall.  Melanie Bertoglio uses the parable of the Parisee and the Tax Collector to show us the difference in the outcomes of the prayer of the humble versus the prayer of the prideful.

Parables were a means that Jesus used to convey his message. Parables are an earthly story with a heavenly meaning. It's God's desire that we would understand the meaning of the parables. The Parable of the Sower, found in Mark chapter four is foundational. It teaches us how to receive the Word in all of the other parables. Ultimately, in the Parable of the Sower, we find that it all comes down to two types of soil...Soil that produces fruit and soil that doesn't. The seed is good, but it is dependent on the soil, to determine whether it will bring forth fruit. As we apply this parable of Jesus to our lives, we may examine ourselves to see if our heart is soil that produces. 

Mark two tells the story of a paralyzed man, whose friends pushed through the crowd to get him to Jesus. The paralyzed man surrounded himself with men of faith, who broke the barriers before them and pressed through to get to Jesus. Your breakthrough comes by getting to Jesus. 

In the second part of her True Worship message, Melanie Bertoglio takes us deeper into our motives behind our worship. Melanie talks about how true worship is essential to the body of Christ, just as much as any other part that we are obedient to. However, we must constantly check ourselves to make sure that our worship is truly for God, because if we are getting caught up in the things surrounding our worship more than who we are worshipping, we cant get caught up "doing Christian things" the devil's way. 

In the second part of her Apply The Blood Feast On The Lamb, Melanie focuses on what it means to "Feast on the Lamb". The partaking of the lamb goes beyond an outward act, into an inward representation of Christ and what He does within us. The Lamb purifies us, and we can not truly experience the power of God without this important concept of "feasting" on the Lamb. 

Melanie Bertoglio uses the "Story of her life" to address the importance of numbering our days, and why we always need to take advantage of our time. 

From Exodus Chapter 40, Melanie Bertoglio  teaches us about the construction and layout of the tabernacle, the dwelling place of God in the Old Testament. As New Testament believers, each member of the Body of Christ is individually the dwelling place. It is important that we take great care, just as the Israelites did, in preparing our dwelling place in order to achieve intimacy with God.

To spend means to use up, exhaust, and wear out. Melanie Bertoglio challenges us to consider what it means to "spend" time, because how you spend your time is how you spend your life.
